Ingredients

- Onion, yellow, diced0.5 medium
- Green bell pepper, diced0.5 medium
- Tomato sauce, canned15 oz
- Ketchup0.25 cup
- Brown sugar, packed2 tbsp
- Worcestershire sauce1 tbsp
- Yellow mustard1 tbsp
- Garlic powder0.5 tsp
- Salt0.25 tsp
- Black pepper0.25 tsp
- Burger buns4 each
- Butter1 tbsp
Method
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.
- Add the diced onion and green bell pepper to the skillet with the beef and cook until softened, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in the tomato sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, yellow mustard, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer, then reduce heat to low and cook, uncovered, for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce has thickened to your liking.
