Like a burger patty met an omelet and had a delicious baby. These pan-fried beef and egg pucks are super satisfying, easy to eat, and totally carnivore-approved for a hearty snack.
Ingredients
4 servings
Ground beef (80/20)500 g
Large eggs2
Shredded cheddar cheese55 g
Sea salt1 tsp
Butter or rendered beef fat30 g
Method
1
In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, eggs, shredded cheddar cheese, and sea salt. Mix thoroughly by hand until all ingredients are well incorporated.
2
Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and form each into a flat, round patty, about 1-inch thick.
3
Heat the butter or rendered beef fat in a large cast-iron skillet or non-stick pan over medium heat until shimmering.
4
Carefully place the patties into the hot skillet. Cook for 4-6 minutes per side, or until deeply browned and cooked through to your desired doneness. The internal temperature of the beef should reach at least 71°C (160°F) for medium.
5
Remove the fry-ups from the skillet and let them rest on a plate for a couple of minutes before serving. Enjoy hot.
