- Pork belly300 g
- Apple Cider Vinegar1 tbsp
- Garlic powder1 tsp
- Onion powder1 tsp
- Smoked paprika0.5 tsp
- Dried oregano0.5 tsp
- Sea salt1 tsp
- Black pepper0.5 tsp
- Lard or Tallow15 g
Method
- Cut the pork belly into 1-inch (2.5 cm) cubes. Pat them very dry with paper towels.
- In a bowl, combine the pork belly cubes with apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, dried oregano, sea salt, and black pepper. Toss to coat evenly.
- Heat the lard or tallow in a large cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the pork belly cubes in a single layer, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan (cook in batches if necessary).
