Scientists discover how a father's obesity affects his children's metabolism

A new study published in Nature Communications reveals the mechanism by which paternal obesity transmits metabolic changes to offspring via sperm, increasing their risk of developing glucose intolerance and insulin resistance. The research, conducted with mice, also found this phenomenon to be reversible through paternal weight loss before conception.
