Keto-vore for the win! My nails are stronger and longer!
By Jules Β· 2026-07-13
Ok so, I have been eating keto since January and more recently carnivore. I go back and forth. But I now have nails! On all ten fingers!!! This is a huge win and I'll take it! π The last time I had acrylic nails was years ago and I would usually end up tearing them off before the week ended and ruining my nail beds by even going to those nail salons with those Dremel type grinders! Ouch! Just wanted to share something I've noticed since eating keto-vore. I also no longer have "chicken skin" on the back of my arms or tops of thighs! Face feels softer too! Ok, bye!

This is the stuff I love to hear!
With the nails - did you figure out if it was one specific thing in your diet that you eliminated or was it a spectrum.
Years ago - 18? - I started eliminating certain things from my diet because I went head first into cooking. The concept of keto wasn't even in my understanding of the universe; however, I started eliminating things like artificial sweeteners, certain oils (ironically not soy), and what have you. There was no real intelligence behind it, rather "this seems smart". It wasn't, I wasn't.
Anyway.
I noticed a change specifically in my nail strength, thickness after eliminating a very specific artificial sweetener and get this - my nail matrix was be impacted by this product.
I used to get these horizontal white marks on my nails when they would grow out. Little did I know that my nails were weak while growing and if I hit my fingers/hand the right way, it would impact the growth of my nail and the result would be a scar when the nail grew.
Itβs crazy what we willingly put into our bodies. Itβs even crazier when we know the negative impacts and we still consume. But it's genuine insanity when a whole industry convinces us that manufactured junk is better than nature.... and we, at large, buy into it.
Smoking for breakfast was a good thing at one time, remember?! Ok. I'll stop yelling at clouds now.
Congrats on the successes! Awesome stuff.
