Beta Testing Week #2 - Updates and what to expect this week --> PUT BETA TESTING COMMENTS OR QUESTIONS HERE.

I trust everyone is having a blessed Sunday, assuming Sunday is a thing that is happening to you and not just a sitting in front of your computer like me.
The beta testing group put in real effort this past week, and it helped more than you probably intended it to. A few of you skipped the community and sent feedback directly. Thank you.
Housekeeping for the week ahead: The app will not change or update this week UNLESS something is on fire. Please keep breaking things, that remains your mission, but understand that nothing gets fixed until after 7/21. I need a minimum of one clean week of raw data to understand how this thing actually behaves, and to surface problems you can't see from where you're sitting.
Recap of Week One of Beta Testing:
1) The Outage. A service provider change knocked scans offline on 7/9, followed by malformed data producing the delightful message Scan error: Expecting ',' delimiter: line 21 column 4 (char 476). Both issues have been resolved and should no longer ruin your day.
2) Fasting Controls. Excellent feedback on the Fasting calculator. The absence of certain controls inspired us to ship a new version untested, which is the kind of confidence you can only get from having no other options. Keep the feedback coming. Some functionality is still missing and will be in the next deploy after 7/21, but the calculator itself does work.
3) Security / Login Time. One user reported being asked to re-login within a suspiciously short window. As far as I know this is not widespread. If it keeps happening to that specific person, we'll do a one-on-one so I can gather more details.
4) AWESOME IDEA ALERT. Someone suggested the app auto-calculate a meal that was entered manually. This is a genuinely great idea, which is why I'm going to implement it in the future rather than admit I hadn't thought of it. Seriously, awesome idea.
5) Forum Buttons. The HTML buttons on the forum have been disabled on purpose, as part of the forum redesign. More on that later. This is less an announcement and more a heads-up so nobody files a bug report about a feature I removed voluntarily.
I cannot thank you enough for the effort. So again, thank you.
Have a great week!

Was it in the fasting tool you were trying to record how you're feeling? And also when you tried to attach an image were you trying to use a URL address?

I tried to set fasting yesterday and just could not
Will try again 😁

Hi again! I made it to 21 hours for my fast today! I kept busy and hydrated so I felt like it was easier today. Going to try working my up to a 36 hour fast. Will that ever be an option, or will the clock just keep ticking? Also, why can't I start my fast local time, which is (MST)? It's always several hours off. In fact, I'm going to have to document the time now because I have to adjust it back one hour. I'll make a new comment under this one to describe what happens. I will also fill out a report page from the guide I am still filling out.

Ok. I started another 20 hour fast but had to adjust the time to reflect that I had already finished my meal an hour ago. It's 4:20 pm now, but just a few minutes ago the clock stated it was 10:17 PM. Obviously it's not. So every time I adjust my fast, I just have to count backwards from the time the app is starting my fast from, which is kind of annoying. I hope all of that makes sense. I will keep recording my observations. I hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Thank you for letting us know! Did you get an error message? If so, what did it say?

Thank you for letting us know! So there was no error message in red that you saw?
